ATLANTA (June 23, 2008) – Atlanta’s MATRIX Resources, Inc. today was named No. 15 among the Best Medium Size Companies to Work for in America at the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 60th Annual Conference and Exposition in Chicago, IL.
This is the fourth consecutive year MATRIX has been recognized by SHRM and the Great Place to Work® Institute (GPTW) in the annual ranking of the 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America. Previously, MATRIX was ranked among small size companies as follows: 2007, No. 11; 2006, No. 14; and 2005, No. 19. GPTW evaluates and ranks the top 25 small and top 25 medium size companies in America that use smart people management strategies to develop successful organizations with highly productive and satisfied workforces.
The rankings are largely determined based on results from a randomly distributed employee opinion survey. Each company evaluated was given a score based on employees’ anonymous responses to a detailed questionnaire about the organizations’ workplace cultures.
MATRIX was recognized for its progressive workplaces practices including a rich balance of clearly defined and integrated company values, two-way communications processes, shared decision-making and goal setting, and a strong commitment to invest in the careers and lives of each of its employees.
“This recognition is especially meaningful for MATRIX because it is largely based on anonymous employee feedback,” said Sandy Jess, director of human resources at MATRIX Resources. “We strive to attract and retain bright, talented and forward-thinking workers because it is our employees who largely determine our success and who we are as a company.”
MATRIX is a premier IT staffing and services provider to the business community, as well as the preferred partner for career assistance by job seeking IT professionals. The company is ranked nationally among the top IT staffing firms and IT services firms, according to IT Services Business Report / Staffing Industry Analysts.
MATRIX has received numerous national, regional and local recognitions for it values-based culture and successful employee job share and other work-life balance programs including best places to work rankings in Georgia, Texas, Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth. In 2004, MATRIX was presented the Turknett Leadership Character Award for the company’s outstanding corporate culture of integrity, respect, accountability and commitment to excellence.
