Chase Scully
Seattle Branch Manager
Chase started working with MATRIX in 2005, and it was a long process getting him here to say the least. He started his recruiting career in Boston in 1998, and then he and his wife had their first child which brought them back to Atlanta where his family lived; “free babysitting!” He first interviewed with MATRIX in 2000 and ended up turning down a recruiting opportunity, but was still highly impressed with the company and always kept in touch. He started working as an account executive at another company but followed MATRIX closely for five years. When he interviewed with MATRIX again in 2005 he made the decision to jump on board; “It’s a lot easier working for them rather than competing against them.”
Not long after he joined the team, an opportunity opened up to start a new office for MATRIX in Seattle. As a proven performer in the Atlanta office, Chase was hand selected for this initiative. Chase is originally from Chicago but decided to go to the Seattle office, one reason being that the area is very high-tech and another reason being that he has family there. “The move just made sense and it was new and exciting.”
Growing up in this industry as a recruiter, Chase looks at recruiters as peers. “One of the things that made me very successful early on was acknowledging the recruiters, making them feel that we are all equal, and my constant communication with them. It all goes back to teamwork and communication.” He says that out of all the companies he has worked for, MATRIX has by far the best recruiting staff, which leads to very strong account executives.
Chase is an all-around family man. He has two young children and a wife to keep him busy and have fun with. “In my spare time I just like being outdoors and enjoying the Pacific Northwest.”
