Emily Ping

Account Executive

Atlanta Office

Emily began her career at MATRIX in March of 1996.  Since then, she has been in many different roles within the company.  She started out in an administrative role helping evaluate and deliver resumes to Recruiters and then moved into a junior recruiting role.  She worked as a Recruiter for ten years before moving into a management role and then was promoted to Director of Recruiting for the East Coast.  After all of her years on the recruiting side of the business, Emily decided to grow her skills on the sales side by moving into an Account Executive role in the Atlanta office.

Emily came to MATRIX with a year and a half of marketing experience.  She was brand new to the recruiting industry but when she sat down and interviewed with the partners and some of the employees at the time, she was overwhelmed with the energy and the drive of the company.  “They were just great people; and that’s what really attracted me to MATRIX.”

Whether working with candidates or clients, the most important thing to Emily is developing relationships.  “Understanding what is truly important, being responsive and meeting their needs...also being consultative and seeing where I can provide value.  Partnering with a candidate on their career search or a client in identifying the right solution; that is what it is all about.”

The two things Emily likes most about MATRIX is, number one the people; and number two, that we are a company that is always looking to grow and change.  “We are an innovative organization.  We are constantly looking for ways to add value to the candidate/client community.”  Emily has been very successful in her career.  She has learned to be creative and look past the obvious. One candidate in particular stands out to her; “she was pretty junior for the role that I was working on but there was just something about her that told me she would be a good long-term fit for the client. We ended up placing her there and that job enabled her to take her career in a whole different direction.  When she left there six years later, she was a Senior Project Manager. It was really rewarding to watch the impact that job had on her life.  She and I have stayed in touch ever since.”

Emily’s personal interests outside of work mainly consist of her two daughters.  Emily jokes, “My WHOLE life revolves around my family!”  Beyond that, she enjoys running, reading, history, and traveling with her family to new and exciting places.
