Growing tired of the cold, Wisconsin weather, John took a chance and moved to Atlanta to work at MATRIX in 1993.  With more than 20 years of IT staffing experience, John worked as a Sr. Account Executive/Team Lead with MATRIX for 17+ years and was then promoted to a Branch Director role for the Atlanta office over Sales and Recruiting.

Being with MATRIX for so long, John has formed close friendships with many of his teammates. “Your teammates are more like friends and family here. We have good relationships built on trust, which allows us to work cooperatively and be very productive.”

What does he enjoy most about working at MATRIX? “It’s all about helping people. When someone has been out of work for awhile and been forced to make difficult financial decisions, it is truly rewarding to help them find a job and really make a difference for them and their family.”

John’s business advice is to always think long-term. “It would be better not to make a placement if it’s just not the right opportunity for both parties. It’s better to keep working, be patient, and do the right thing to create long-term success.”

When he isn’t coaching our Account Executives and Recruiters on best practices, you can find John coaching his kids in softball and tennis.
