Phyllis has been working as an Account Executive at MATRIX since June 1995.  Before she came to MATRIX she had a very successful career in IT management and had worked as a VP of technology and a CIO for a software organization. Phyllis had known the partners of MATRIX for a good number of years and had done business with them for sourcing top IT candidates.  She was looking to make a job change and, at that time, they were growing the company and they talked with her about being an Account Executive.  “I talked with the partners and, having known each one of them, it was interesting talking with them as people that were recruiting you to come to their organization rather than people you do business with.  It was actually a pretty tough interview process.”  In the end, Phyllis decided that coming to MATRIX would be a good career change.  “We have a great staff of people here at MATRIX; professional, smart and energetic.”

Some of the clients that Phyllis works with, she’s worked with for many years and it’s very rewarding for her to see them grow in their profession and become successful.  She cares a lot about the people she works with and she strongly believes in the golden rule; “I make it a point to treat each and every person that I interact with on a daily basis the way I would want to be treated.” 

Phyllis has two college-aged children and spending time seeing them grow, go through school, and excel in their activities has been a great part of her life.  In her spare time she enjoys running; “I’ve run three marathons and about 15 half-marathons.”  She also likes going to the theater and attending cultural events around the city.
