MATRIX Account Manager, Steve Dillard, has seen his share of challenges in his 14-year career at MATRIX, but it’s the people he works with and the opportunity to successfully serve clients that keeps him going.
“We restructured our organization back in 2001 after the Tech market bust. MATRIX merged the Permanent and Contract Staffing businesses together into one organization in order to be more efficient and streamlined. At that time, I moved from a position in our Permanent Placement Division into a new role performing Account Management for both Permanent Placement and Contract Staffing services. This was during a tough market. Being able to make it through the difficult market and, at the same time, build a positive growing business, was a huge challenge which I was fortunate enough to meet. MATRIX has always supported us by providing the best tools and processes so we can successfully serve our clients.”
Through it all, the people of MATRIX have encouraged Steve and helped him on his journey. “The thing I enjoy most about MATRIX are the people I work with on a daily basis. Everyone has such a positive teamwork oriented attitude. There is a shared drive to get things done for our clients.”
As an Account Manager, Steve also finds his work rewarding. “I enjoy the breadth of the job which includes servicing our clients and the people we place in opportunities. I also enjoy working with the recruiting team. Whenever you are able to help someone find a job, you are not only helping the client find the right person for their position, you are also helping an individual find the right opportunity. Helping someone find a new job is very rewarding. These are the primary reasons why I do the job. It’s why I am here and it’s what I like about the industry.”
In Steve’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working on classic cars, and activities in the great outdoors.
