Heather Bobb

Senior Recruiter

atlanta Office

Heather has worked in staffing for six years, including five and one-half years with MATRIX. She entered the staffing world as a physicians recruiter. Unfortunately, her first experience with recruiting was not so pleasant, and left her feeling that the field lacked the ethical component she needed in her career. That all changed when she walked in the door at MATRIX.

“I knew instantly when I came into the lobby during my first interview that I wanted to work at MATRIX. The professionalism, friendliness, thoroughness, and ethics by which MATRIX operates quickly changed my view of the staffing world,” she said.

As a recruiter, Heather feels very rewarded by the role she plays. She builds long-lasting relationships with her candidates and enjoys the challenge of understanding what makes them tick, and what roles best suit their needs throughout their career.

“I work with a candidate for a long time, build a relationship and get to know them, get them interviews, but sometimes things don’t work out for a while. When we finally get a placement and they get the job – it's very rewarding and exciting to know the impact it will make on their life – they are excited about it."

How would she describe her relationships with a typical candidate?

“Sometimes the process goes really quick so I don't get to know them until after they have been on staff for a while. Once they are on site, I try to make sure that each person understands what is going on, and communicate often so we are on the same page. I always want them to know that I am thinking about them and their career."

Heather's candidate-first philosophy has made her one of MATRIX's top recruiters. As she says, “You get what you put into it. The more time, energy, and care you give to your candidates, the more successful you will be."
