Theo began working as a Technology Recruiter at the MATRIX Birmingham office in September 2008. He came on board with two years of prior IT recruiting experience. Theo was looking for employment in Birmingham when he came across an opportunity at MATRIX; "the office set up here was very similar to the set up I had at my previous job…it turned out to be a great fit.” Theo had several phone interviews and was hired after his first face to face interview with MATRIX.  “I spent about two hours meeting with a few Account Executives and the VP of National Accounts. They gave me a chance to ask lots of questions and also gave me a tour of the facility here at Birmingham. We all really connected during the interview and it seemed like a perfect match.” 

When working with candidates, Theo thinks it is really important to get a true feel as to what the candidate is looking for career wise. He tries to make sure that whatever opportunity he is trying to match the candidate up with really matches what their expectations are going to be for themselves. “I do my best to make sure it is a total fit.” 

One of the things Theo enjoys most about working at MATRIX is the opportunity to really run your own business. “They provide you with a lot of different tools that help each individual succeed. I also love the fact that MATRIX feels like a family; I get a good family vibe working with the people here!”

Outside of work, Theo is into a range of athletics. He plays in a flag football league, as well as a year round basketball league. You may also see him as a DJ at events such as weddings and birthday parties.
