With a background in accounting, Charise came to MATRIX in late 2004 for the Payroll Administrator position with a strong desire to interact with people on a daily basis.  And she does just that.  In fact, Charise is probably one of the persons at MATRIX who most of our consultants will interact with at some time or another.

She considers herself a "teacher and a problem solver" at MATRIX.  Each day, Charise teaches our many consultants and internal employees about how to use the Ceridian site for paycheck and benefits information.  She also teaches them about how their paycheck works and the various rules for deductions.  

Charise also deals with everyone who may not be so happy about a paycheck issue. She often works with various groups in the MATRIX Finance Department to determine the issue and helps to resolve it. In her patient way, she educates each person about what is causing the problem in order to avoid it in the future.

Charise says that she "strives to end each call with a happy employee who has the correct information regarding their paycheck." She views her role as a "partnership with the sales teams to ensure each consultant is paid on time" and works to create best practices and training towards this goal.

During her time at MATRIX, Charise has really broadened her skillset to become an expert in her role. She is now a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). Outside of the office, Charise's teenage son is her primary focus and keeps her very busy with all of his extracurricular activities. When she does catch a free moment, you can find Charise engrossed in the latest murder-mystery novel.
