Jimmie Lane

Western Operations Support Specialist

Dallas Office

Destiny played a hand in this Louisiana native landing a job at MATRIX.  Looking for part-time work, Jimmie answered two ads for part-time jobs.  Both were for staffing companies, both were located a mile from each other in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and both offered her the job.  She was the last person interviewed for the job at MATRIX but she had a good feeling about it and lucky for us, MATRIX called first.  Little did she know the part-time job she had just accepted would turn into a full-time career.  17 years later, she is still here and thriving.

Jimmie has been in the Administrative Department during her entire career at MATRIX and has become quite a resource.  You’ll often hear people say, “Go ask Jimmie!” as they know she can help or at the very least, steer you in the right direction.  Jimmie currently wears many hats while supporting the Dallas office and in particular, VP of the Western Region, Jon Davis.  Jon keeps her on her toes managing multiple projects for him while he is traveling and in the office.   Her days are spent happily engrossed in the numbers and details that she so enjoys working with.

And what does Jimmie enjoy the most about MATRIX?  “Absolutely the people I work with.  To me, if you go to work every day and you don’t like who you’re working with, that would be really hard.  I don’t think I could do it.”  Jimmie also enjoys the freedom and flexibility MATRIX bestows on their employees in every facet.  “We work hard, we really do, but they know we know what we’re doing and they just let us do it.  There’s a trust and respect there that even if you don’t work the typical 9 to 5 job schedule, you can still get your job accomplished successfully.”

“I’ve said this for as long as I can remember, MATRIX is by far, the best company I’ve ever worked for.  It’s homey in that we all know each other. The families, the husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, kids names; it’s a close-knit group.  I can’t imagine leaving.”
